CHARDON, OH- e2b calibration announced today that on-site Tronair ground support equipment training is available for aviation businesses nationally. The new Tronair training services expand e2b’s existing aviation quality services which includes accredited calibration and repair traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and on-site GSE maintenance and aircraft jack proof-load testing.
“Aviation equipment can be very expensive and critical to aircraft safety. With proper maintenance, ground support equipment can last for 20 plus years,” said Mike Miner, Training Coordinator for e2b.
Calibration technicians were trained by Tronair ground support equipment training instructors at Tronair headquarters in Holland, Ohio. e2b calibration was one of the first independent organizations to participate in this course. e2b can now provide training to aviation maintenance professionals using Tronair GSE products in the field at FAA maintenance repair and operating (MRO) facilities and fixed-based operations (FBO).
Hands-on Tronair training is provided on-site at the MRO or FBO facility covering proper equipment use, preventative maintenance schedules and techniques, detection of equipment wear-and-tear or abuse, and equipment repair processes. Training may be tailored to the needs of the MRO or FBO company and include the types of Tronair GSE products used, such as:
Hydraulic Power (Ram Air Turbines, Hydraulic Coupling Hose Adapters, etc.)
Electrical (Batteries, General Power Units – GPU’s, etc.)
Fuselage (Platforms, etc.)
Servicing (Recovery Carts, etc.)
Power Plant (Engine Stands, Hoists, etc.)
Fuel (Fueling Systems)
Towing and Taxiing (Towbars, Aircraft Recovery Dollies, etc.)
Lifting and Shoring (Jacks, Stabilizing Stands, etc.)
Each training session concludes with a personalized question and answer discussion between the instructor and the GSE maintenance technicians.
Aviation professionals interested in Tronair ground support equipment training or other e2b products and aviation quality services can request information and quotes on the company’s website at calibration.aero or by calling 1 (440) 352-4700.

Weighing an aircraft is an important task that is performed regularly throughout aviation maintenance organizations worldwide. The weight and center of gravity of an aircraft have a significant impact on the stability and performance during the operation of an aircraft. If the aircraft is too heavy, it may have trouble getting off the ground. If […]
Temperature is one of the most important factors that affects the performance and life of turbine engines. For the engine to be most efficient, the exhaust temperatures need to be as high as possible, while maintaining an operating temperature that does not exceed the engine’s material limits and cause damage to the engine. Too low […]
