If you are an aviation maintenance professional (AMT) in Ohio, you don’t want to miss the 2017 Ohio Aviation Maintenance Symposium. The event takes place at the Columbus State Conference Center. The goals of the symposium are teaching aviation maintenance best practices, discussion of new technologies, and networking between AMT students and professionals. As of this writing, 183 attendees are registered.
Aviation professionals will lead presentations and discussions throughout the event. Presentations will occur each hour and be held in the same area as the exhibit. The FAA will issue certificates of attendance to AMT’s and students that attain 8 hours of education. The FAA will also give 8 hours of AMT credit.

Columbus State Community College offers an Aviation Maintenance Airframe Certificate, Aviation Maintenance Powerplant Certificate, and Aviation Maintenance Technology Associate Degree. The Aviation Maintenance Technology program is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration and meets the requirements of FAA Regulation Part 147. The AMT students learn at the Columbus State Southwest Center Hangar at Bolton Field Airport. The students use aircraft, helicopters, and labs to learn about aviation maintenance.
COPAMA is a Central Ohio affiliated chapter of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA). COPAMA is a 501c3, with a mission of providing educational opportunities for members, AMT students and the aviation community of Central Ohio.
